St Patrick's Day Craft

I got a really fun craft idea from Keep'n the Sunny Side for a very cute St. Patricks Day garland. We made:

Salt Dough
2c. flour
1 c. salt
1 c. water
Mix into a dough and form into shapes, or roll out and use cookies cutters. insert wire hangers prior to baking. Bake 375 for 45 minutes. Cool completely and decorate as you would like.
The kids had so much fun making these "cookies" as they called them. They kept want to eat them because they look very much like Sugar Cookies. I told them to go ahead and have a chomp, but neither of them took the bait.

After painting them we tied them to a white ribbon, wrote St. Patricks Day on them with a silver pen and hung them from the entertainment center. It was fun, easy and cute, that is my kind of craft. Stay tuned for our Easter themed salt dough creations.

I'm coming over from Mormon Mommy Blogs, asking for your help. I am in the running for a round trip airfare paid ticket to Connecticut, to meet a friend I became acquainted with through blogging. She is a super fun person and is holding this contest. I entered a funny story titled "Grapejuice Floaties, Now Marry Me." The person whose story receives the most votes will win a trip to meet this generous lady, whom I'm hoping to meet. The voting ends tonight-midnight. I used to be ahead but there is a story coming up from behind out of nowhere, and it's a tight race now. I would so much appreciate your help. Her blog is www.becausemomsaidso.blogspot.com and the voting is on the sidebar on the right. "Grapejuice, Floaties" Just go there and cast a vote for me, please. Thanks so much-you're awesome! ♥♥
